ad-vo-ca-cy: public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy

UnitED Advocacy supports all children, families, and school districts, ensuring that every student receives the resources and support best suited to their unique needs.

Simply put, I aim to support you in ensuring your child has a comprehensive, long-term educational plan that fits their needs.

With years of experience in both private and public education, including roles as a classroom teacher and interventionist/specialist, I recognized a critical gap in the true individualization of student IEPs. Determined to address this, I’ve advocated for families and students in ARD meetings, demonstrating that genuine individualization is achievable with the right support and a focused analysis of data to identify specific needs. My goal is to offer that insight and advocacy, supporting both families and school districts to ensure every child’s educational plan is tailored to their unique requirements.

What do we look at to drive decision making?

Does your child’s IEP accurately reflect their current present levels and needs?

Does the current data accurately reflect their present needs?

Are their accommodations accurately tailored and consistently implemented across all educational environments with fidelity?

Is there a Schedule of Services (SOS) in place that aligns with the support required to achieve goals and foster growth in the identified areas of need?

What type of support are you searching for?
